Egyptian Goddess Neith

I am the things that are, that will be, and have been. No one has ever laid open the garment by which I am concealed. The fruit which I brought forth was the sun"...

The immensely popular TV series ‘Vikings’ and it’s very prominent and powerful warrior character Lagertha, as well as a remarkable recent discovery concerning an ancient grave, has led to the question: did Shieldmaidens, or Skjaldmær in Old Norse, actually exist, or are they simply a romantic product of fiction, more akin to the Amazons of Greek myth than actual historical fact....

The Valkyries, The choosers of the slain

There is hardly anything more synonymous with Norse mythology than the Valkyries, the mounted warrior women who took warriors killed in battle to Asgard. The romantic and thrilling image of the Valkyries riding across the sky with a fallen warrior slung over their saddle has inspired a plethora of paintings and statues...

Lasa, Etruscan Fate Goddess and the sisterhood of the Lasae

Most people probably know of goddesses of the ancient world such as Athena, Isis, Astarte the Queen of the Stars, or the cat goddess Bast, or at least their names may be somewhat familiar even if not anything very much about them, but I would think not many people would recognise the name Lasa However, Lasa was by no means a minor deity...

Sunbeam Candles - an Amazing find!

As a long-time online retail shop owner I am also a very active online shopper! I spend several hours a week (sometimes a day!) searching for products that will delight my customers as much as myself, products that I would love to have and sell. These shopping 'trips' often turn up very little that I find singing to me, items that call out and ask to move in with us. When I do find a product I spend some time sorting samples and really letting the items rest with me until I am ready to debut a new product line on the sites.

Early this year I stumbled upon Sunbeam Candles. I had never heard of the company before but I was immediately intrigued by the products I saw in an online shop. They were only offering a few varieties but it was enough to capture my attention. I still remember when, over a decade ago, I first found Crystal Journey Candles in a local spiritual shop and fell in love. They were almost unheard of then so the fact I had never heard of Sunbeam didn't deter me. I went to work doing the research and groundwork necessary to establish whether I truly wanted to work with the company or not...the more I read, the stronger my interest grew. I first started offering their candles in my eBay shops in March of 2015 - you can find both of my eBay stores here: and - and we (my husband and I) are now busy adding the candles to our main website.

My favorite scents so far are the Lemongrass and Ginger (I call this the "Positive Energy" candle as it really uplifts the spirit!), the Lime Grapefruit and Rosemary candle (I call it a 'Cleansing' candle as it clears things up and makes space in the mind and emotions), and the Rose Geranium, Ylang Ylang, and Patchouli candle, which I call the Sensual candle because, will have to smell it for yourself to see what I mean!

Sunbeam Candles offers many different types of candles, even some bees wax shapes and all natural bug repellents! I can't wait to share more of these babies with you soon.

Here is a bit more about the company, in their own words:
